What is Crystal art?

The idea behind 'Crystal Art' is to create an image that combines colour, symbolism and crystals that work in harmony with each other to produce a 'note' or a 'theme' for personal growth and healing. Each design has a particular 'theme' which you may be drawn to. There are indications as to what the crystals might help with, please only use this as a guide as all crystals have their unique purpose and they may have more to reveal once you work with the image. The associations are given with the card and this can be placed inside if you are sending it as a gift. Once you receive your hand made card with your unique crystal it is always a good idea that you cleanse it first. You can do this by holding the card in your hand and asking for its energies to be pure. And if you want to ask it to help you for a specific purpose, just say out loud in a positive affirming way to yourself and this way, every time you look at the image, you are reminded in a positive way of what you want to achieve or change. With crystal work it is always about self-empowerment, by surrounding ourselves with beautiful stones that make us feel good, we are working with our 'goodness' every day. They have long been respected and used by many civilisations such as the Egyptians and Native Americans for protection, prosperity and love and can invoke similar qualities in ourselves if we honour and respect them. Place your Crystal Art card in a place where you feel relaxed, and be open to its healing potential. This may be at your bedside, on your desk at work, or if you meditate, you might want to take the image with you on a 'journey' and expand on its inner message for you. Always remember to retrace your steps back from a visualisation and make sure you ground yourself thoroughly afterwards. Who is the artist?

My name is Ruth Jackson, I trained in textiles and became a designer / maker of hand made cards and pictures and wall hangings. I have always had a keen interest in spiritual matters and often researched and produced work that had reference to astrology, mythology, symbolism and colour healing. After studying yoga in London and India, I began working in Watkins Esoteric Centre as the crystal sales / buyer and I am just about to complete my Diploma in crystal and spiritual healing at the Vibrational Healing Foundation, where I have now found a deep and enriching connection to the world of healing and the beautiful mineral kingdom. I am currently working as a teaching assistant in a primary school and will be developing this website to include a space for like-minded people to share ideas on crystals, art and healing. I am also working on an online short course for those who wish to go a little deeper with their crystals or images and how to do this in a safe and responsible way. I also provide a commission service for interior spaces, business or in the home and make individual images for those who have a specific theme they want to work with, or for people who would simply like a personal piece of art custom made for there individuality.
